Mini Grants

In September and April each year,  nonprofit organizations are invited to submit applications for mini grant funding to be used to meet community needs in at least one of four strategic areas:

After reviewing the grant applications, United Way staff make recommendations to the Board of Directors which applications to fund, and agencies will be notified shortly afterward.

Organizations can apply for up to $1,000. The next Mini Grant call for entries will take place in September 2019. An announcement will be made through media sources, including the United Way website (www.unitedwaynemi.org) and social media outlets.
